Take the Ome Line from Tachikawa Station

Your journey begins at Tachikawa Station, where you will board the JR Ome Line for your departure! We will head for our first destination, Haijima Station.
First, we will visit the Ishikawa Sake Brewery, a 20-minute walk from Haijima Station. This historical sake brewery has a number of buildings designated as national tangible cultural properties. It is one of the representative sake breweries in Tama, producing sake since the Edo period and beer since the Meiji period.
Famous sake "Tamanboast
Ishikawa Sake Brewery aims to make sake that "accompanies meals" in the spirit of "sake brewing that supports the gorgeous dining table in the shadows. The brewery's distinctive feature is the sake brewed with a large amount of rice (rice for eating). The use of a lot of rice is said to give the sake a "rich umami" flavor.

Next is Tamura Sake Brewery, a 10-minute walk from Fussa Station. The Tamura family, said to be one of the old families that pioneered Fussa in the past, started a sake brewing business in the Edo period. Since its founding, the family motto has been "brew carefully and sell carefully," and the brewery is rooted in the community.

The last brewery we would like to introduce is Ozawa Sake Brewery, a 5-minute walk from Sawai Station, close to the Tama River. 300 years old, the brewery has continued to brew sake while preserving the nature of Okutama.
The brewery's sake is characterized by a wide variety, ranging from dry to sweet. The secret to producing both extremes of sake at the same brewery is "water. The two wells are the "Kura no Iido" located in the mountains behind the brewery and the "Yama no Iido" located deep in the mountains on the opposite side of the Tama River from the brewery. Ozawa Sake Brewery brews various kinds of sake using these two different types of water.
