Kirifuri Waterfall is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Nikko, along with Kegon Waterfall and Urami-no-Taki Waterfall, and has been selected as one of the "100 best waterfalls in Japan" and "100 scenic spots in Tochigi. It is one of the popular sightseeing spots located close to Nikko Station, only 10 minutes by bus from the station. The waterfall is divided into upper and lower sections, 25 m above and 26 m below, with a total length of 75 m. The width of the waterfall is 3 m at the top and widens to 15 m toward the bottom, providing a beautiful view of the cascading water.

The name "Kirifuri-no-Taki" comes from the fact that the water splashing against the rock wall looks like mist falling, and on rainy days, when the conditions are right, you can see a cloud of water rising up. It is a nice point to know that there is a view that can be seen only because of the rain.

What is Ryuzu-no-Taki Falls, one of the three best waterfalls in Oku-Nikko?

Ryuzu-no-taki Falls is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Oku-Nikko, located in a place called Oku-Nikko, 65 minutes by bus from Nikko Station. The waterfall flows down 210 meters over the lava formed by the eruption of Mt. The name of the waterfall is said to come from the resemblance of a dragon's head, which can be seen from the walking trail on the rapids above the waterfall, where the area near the basin is bisected by a large rock.
