Hakui's specialty, natural rock oysters from the Shibagaki coast

When you think of the sea in Hakui, many people think of Senrihama Beach, which is also a famous tourist spot, but if you drive 15 minutes north, you will find Shibagaki Beach. Here, in summer, ama divers collect natural rock oysters one by one by bare diving. You can taste them at local restaurants, eateries, and roadside stations.
The restaurant we visited this time is "Yamano" located near Myoseiji Temple. A large sign in front of the restaurant reads "Natural rock oysters! This is something to look forward to! The set meal with two natural rock oysters was priced at 1,700 yen, a very reasonable price! (At the market, you can find larger ones for 1,000 yen each.) The iwagaki that arrived a short time later was too big to eat in one bite. The unique flavor of the iwagaki that fills your mouth when you eat it is irresistible. At this size and price, you will want to eat it many times in a season. I would like tourists to pay attention not only to sea bathing, Myoseiji Temple, and Kidaisha Shrine, but also to "natural rock oysters!
