The coloring usually begins in mid-September and reaches its peak as early as late September.
The ridge line running south from Hachimantai is lined with mountains such as Fen, Morobidake, and Kensaimori. The course is rather long, but there are two mountain lodges along the way, so you can enjoy it at your own pace.

The Iwate Hachimantai Mountain Guides Association has professional local guides who are certified by the Japan Mountain Guides Association to show you the highlights of the season.
You can enjoy Towada-Hachimantai National Park in depth. From private to group tours, you can apply for and consult with a mountain climbing and trekking guide according to the season and desired course.
