Unshoji Temple, located on the Oga Peninsula in Akita Prefecture, is famous for its "blue hydrangeas. The best time to see the hydrangeas is from mid-June to early July every year. The vice-abbot of Unshoji spent more than 15 years cultivating the hydrangeas, which cover the entire temple grounds, and are a sight to behold!
