Located in the northeastern part of Chiba Prefecture, near Narita Airport and blessed with lush greenery and culture, Tako Town is famous for its hydrangeas. The hydrangeas planted along the banks of the Kuriyama River that flows through Tako Town continue to bloom year after year, creating a beautiful path of colorful hydrangeas.

Hydrangea Week from June 7 (Sat) to June 15 (Sun), 2025

The Kuriyama River runs gently north to south through the center of the town, and along both banks of the river are planted approximately 10,000 blue, purple, white, and light red hydrangeas, covering a distance of 2 km. From June 7 (Sat.) to 15 (Sun.), an event is held as "Ajisai Week" and the Kuriyama River cruise boat is operated. Free rental bicycles will be available at the Roadside Station Tako Hydrangea Pavilion for those who want to enjoy the hydrangea promenade to the fullest.

The 41st Hometown Tako Town Hydrangea Festival will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

The Hometown Tako Hydrangea Festival is held every June, when the hydrangeas are at their most beautiful and in full bloom. This year, the festival will be held on June 15 (Sun.), 2025 at Tako Ajisai Park. There will be musical performances, gourmet food stalls and kitchen cars, and a raffle with prizes of local specialties.
