Kanda Jimbocho is a town of books with about 130 bookstores. As the world's largest antiquarian bookstore district, it is home to several million books and works of art.

A spot that attracts book lovers not only from the local area but also from all over Japan.

Some bookstores specialize in one genre of books, such as art, martial arts, Western books, or cooking, while others sell new books as well as used books. The used bookstore district boasts such a wide selection of books that people say, "You can find the book you were looking for here." We recommend those who are looking for books in their favorite genres or books for maniacs, as well as those who just want to drop in or visit to encounter new books.
Every fall, events such as the "Kanda Used Book Festival" and the "Jimbocho Book Festival" are held here and have become an autumn tradition.
There are more books than you can see in one day, so you may end up picking up a book of a genre that you have never been interested in before.
There are also many restaurants specializing in curry around the area, making it a "curry town," so you can spend a more enjoyable time at a curry store or coffee shop with the book you have just bought.
