Have you heard about the newly opened "Railway Room" at "Hotel Kurobe" in Unazuki Onsen?

Hotel Kurobe" stands at the highest point of the Kurobe River and is the only inn in Unazuki Onsen where you can view the trolley car running on the red bridge on the other side of the river. All guest rooms, the lobby, and the public bath face the Kurobe Gorge, and guests can relax in the "beautiful skin" hot spring water of Unazuki Onsen, which boasts one of the clearest waters in Japan, while enjoying the spectacular seasonal views.
Exterior (summer)
Open-air bath (winter)
Guests who have stayed at the hotel have commented, "It's fun to see the trolley! and some guests have even stayed with groups such as railroad research clubs. Therefore, we renovated some of the guest rooms and opened two railroad rooms for "railroad fans" and "train-loving children" on January 8, 2022 (Saturday)!
Toy Train Room
N gauge room
The first is the "Toy Railroad Room," where the entire wall is covered with plastic rail tracks, satisfying children with an impressive tower-like layout. The second is the "N gauge room" for adults, with N gauge model trains and a diorama, and the walls are furnished with Kurobe Gorge Railway posters, railroad goods, and seat seats. Both of these rooms are available for a fee, but can be used by both overnight guests and day-trippers for a minimum of two hours.

About a month has passed since the opening, and we asked Hotel Kurobe staff about the response to the Railway Room!
The majority of visitors to the "Toy Railroad Room" were families, as expected. The children seemed to be satisfied with the experience, saying, "It was fun! and they seemed to be satisfied with the experience. The "Toy Train Room" was also well received by parents and guardians who came on a day trip because they could enjoy it as a set with bathing. The N Gauge Rooms are often occupied by adult train fans, who immediately took advantage of the all-night plan. From enthusiasts who brought their own cars to those who casually played with rental cars, everyone was having a great time.
The dioramas in the "N gauge room" are made with the cooperation of students and alumni of railroad clubs in Toyama Prefecture. We are now looking forward to seeing how it will turn out, as we are gradually finishing up parts of it with the aim of completing it around the time of the Tsuruga extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line!

If you are in the neighborhood, why not bring your own vehicle and play with it while observing the rules and manners?
