This time, we would like to introduce a Hida beef nigiri restaurant for those who want to enjoy a relaxing meal inside the restaurant, recommended to stop by when you are tired from walking!

Kyoshi is located about a 3-minute walk from Takayama Jinya. The restaurant is full of warmth of wood and has not only table seats but also counter seats. You can enjoy your meal in a relaxing space even if you are alone. The restaurant offers a full menu of dishes using mainly A5 grade Hida beef, which is considered the highest grade of beef, as well as a wide variety of fish dishes and alcoholic beverages.

The first thing we ordered was the restaurant's most popular menu item, the "Hida Beef Zukushi! The special Hida beef zukushi is made by carefully selecting the best parts of Hida beef for sushi, and includes four pieces of Hida beef nigiri and a Hida beef tebasaki. There are two types of nigiri, one sprinkled with rock salt and the other with green onion and ginger, depending on your preference, but I personally found the rock salt one to be more delicious! The tekkimaki, which is rarely seen in other restaurants, is also easy to eat, and the crispy nori and tender Hida beef are a perfect match. If you think of Kyoshi, this is the first thing you should try! If you are in doubt, I recommend you try this one.

Next is the Hida Beef Torosuji Bowl, limited to 10 servings per day. The Hida beef tenderloin is cooked slowly over three days and melts in your mouth when it is mixed with a half-boiled egg, giving it a rich and delicious flavor. It is more reasonably priced than other items on the menu, and some days it sells out quickly, so if you are interested, please come early!

There were many other dishes on the menu that I was interested in, such as Hida beef hittomabushi, so I would like to visit this restaurant again and again! At Kyoshi, you can also purchase Hida beef nigiri at the window outside for eating. It is also recommended to sit on the bench in front of the restaurant and relax.
