Shukubo" at Zenkoji Temple
Nowadays, there are many facilities where the general public can easily stay overnight.
Zenkoji Temple is a nondenominational temple, but it is protected by two temples, the Daihongan of the Jodo sect and the Daikanjin of the Tendai sect.
Shukubo are also divided into two sects, Jodo and Tendai. Shukubo with "bo" are of the Jodo sect, while those with "in" are of the Tendai sect.
The elder brother's shukubo introduced here is a Jodo sect shukubo.
Each lodge offers lodging, meals, and Buddhist memorial services.
At Eibeibo, sutra chanting is also available, which is an experience that can only be had at a shukubo!
