There are many yakiniku restaurants in Kanazawa, but this time I went to "Yakiniku koba Asanohonmachi" for a dish I was looking for. That dish was the "Wagyu Beef Uni Gunkan (Sea Urchin Gunkan). Just by looking at this luxurious meat sushi, you can tell that it is delicious. Wagyu beef + fresh sea urchin + caviar is a wonderful combination! I opened my mouth wide and took a bite. When you bite into it, the first thing that fills your mouth is the rich, tangy taste of the sea urchin, followed by the indescribable flavor of the meat and caviar, which naturally brings a smile to your face. Order a plate of 4 pieces for 2,178 yen (tax included). The sushi rice is also very firm and surprisingly hearty. Even so, I ate all four pieces by myself because they were so delicious (laugh). Sushi in Kanazawa is not only seafood!
By the way, one of the regulars at the restaurant recommends the "Special Cold Noodles. Indeed, the restaurant's website says, "I don't know of any cold noodle dish that tastes better than this.... It's so good, it will knock your socks off. Of course, I had this one as well! The noodles are firm and resilient, and the taste of the kimchi and soup is truly a must-try!
The restaurant is a bit far from Kanazawa Station if you walk, but if you drive, it is just a short distance away. This is a yakiniku restaurant that you should definitely go to eat.
