The amazing thing about this restaurant is its attention to ingredients. The owner's wish is to "make a world where food safety is taken for granted," so he uses seasonal organic ingredients in his sandwiches and other menu items whenever possible, and he makes sure that everything he uses for cooking is free of chemical seasonings, preservatives, and other additives. If there are unavoidable circumstances that require the use of ingredients that are not organic or additive-free, we make sure to list them on the menu. The menu and website also include information about the farmers in and outside of the prefecture from whom they purchase their ingredients, so if you are interested, please take a look at it.
The "Salmon & Cream Cheese Sandwich," the No. 1 seller, is such a classic that who doesn't like this combination? Who doesn't like this combination? It is sandwiched in a large croissant and is very satisfying, with the aroma of fermented butter and black pepper accents.
Please note that this is an adult café that does not allow people under 13 years old, so people with children cannot enter. On Saturdays and Sundays, the restaurant is very crowded with reservations, and even if you arrive around 11:30 a.m., the opening time, you may not be shown to your seat until around 1:00 p.m. If you want to spend a relaxing time in a quiet restaurant, weekdays are recommended. If the weather is nice, you can take out a sandwich and eat it on a bench near the East Bridge or while strolling along the Uchigawa River.
And as a side note, if you visit this restaurant, be sure to go into the restroom at least once. You will be surprised to see what kind of interior design it has.
