The rice is made of a weir and the curry roux represents a reservoir in this "dam curry.

Roadside Station Yamba Furusato-kan is a roadside station built adjacent to the Yamba Dam in Naganohara-cho, Gunma Prefecture. Yamba Dam Curry" is available at the cafeteria in the roadside station. It is a new type of curry that is not dammed up by rice, but by ceramic parts of the curry dish.
An original dam card is included with every bowl of dam curry. And since these curry dishes are sold at the store next to the cafeteria, you can enjoy dam curry at home as well!
There is also a produce market and a footbath attached to the restaurant, and the footbath is available from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. From the Fudo Ohashi Bridge next to the Yamba Furusato Kan, you can view the dam lake and the surrounding mountains. Why not soak in the footbath while admiring the great nature of the mountains? If you go sightseeing nearby, be sure to stop by the Yamba Furusato Kan!
