Obihiro Shrine, located 6 minutes by car from Obihiro Station, is widely worshipped as a god of national security (management) and pioneering (development), with its three deities, Okunitama no Kami, Onamuchi no Kami, and Sunahikona no Kami, referred to as the Three Pioneering Deities. The shrine's vast grounds are home to many wild birds and Ezo squirrels, and visitors can enjoy the seasonal atmosphere of the shrine.

Have you ever heard of the "Shimaenaga," nicknamed the snow fairy? If you are lucky, you may be able to see them. The secret to finding the "Striped Egret" is to look for it by listening to its calls such as "cheech," "tsuriri," and "juriri," etc. Why don't you search for it patiently after visiting the shrine?

Even if you can't find a "shimaega," don't miss the cute "shimaega mikuji," "ema," and "red seal book" that are original to Obihiro Shrine. In addition, the local omikuji "Ezomikuji" is distributed at several shrines in Hokkaido, and at Obihiro Shrine, you can draw a "Salmon omikuji". Please visit when you come to Obihiro.
