Hanamiyama Park is one of the most popular flower viewing spots in Fukushima Prefecture.

Hanamiyama Park was praised by Shotaro Akiyama, one of Japan's most famous photographers, who said "Fukushima has a peach paradise" when he visited the park every year. It is not widely known that the mountain is actually privately owned. The second generation owner of Hanamiyama Park began cultivating the wooded area around 1935 and planted various flowering plants such as plum and cherry trees for his livelihood. Since then, the park has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Fukushima Prefecture, visited by many people from Japan and abroad.

In spring, the sight of plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, someiyoshino, rengeyo, and peach blossoms all blooming at the same time is a spectacular sight. The contrast between the Azuma mountain range and the blooming flowers from the top of the mountain is also recommended.
