Come and see! Come and see! Touch and feel! Notojima Aquarium is a hands-on aquarium in Ishikawa Prefecture. The aquarium breeds and exhibits fish that live in the waters around the Noto Peninsula. The "Noto Kairo" (a corridor for undersea excursions), where visitors can enjoy the realistic feeling of walking in the sea through projection mapping, and the observation domes on the aquarium tanks allow visitors to observe fish groups up close. In cooperation with fishermen who fish off the Noto Peninsula, we are contacted when rare fish or whale sharks are caught, and we take them over and display them. Yes, there are whale sharks off the Noto Peninsula as well! Whale sharks also migrate off the Noto Peninsula. At the Whale Shark Pavilion "Blue World," visitors can see whale sharks swimming in a leisurely manner.
When we visited in winter, there was a kotatsu in front of the whale shark tank. It was a very strange experience to see a huge whale shark swimming in the tank in front of you while you were able to relax as if you were at home.

Notojima Aquarium, located on Notojima Island with its peaceful rural scenery, is a 15-minute drive from Wakura Onsen across the Notojima Bridge. After visiting, it is recommended to drive along the coast and cross the Twin Bridges. Notojima Aquarium" is full of attractions such as dolphin shows, cute penguins walking around, and jellyfish light art. It is not a big facility, but you can feel close to the fishes because of that.
