The main actors of Oku-Nikko are all in one view!

If you are planning to visit Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls, Ryuzu Falls, etc., you must pass through the sightseeing road "Iroha-zaka". Akechidaira, the most panoramic spot in Nikko, can only be reached from the "Daini Iroha Slope," which is an uphill road from downtown Nikko to the shore of Lake Chuzenji, and not from the "Daiichi Iroha Slope," which is a downhill road on the way back. When visiting, please be sure to stop by from the "Daini Iroha Slope. Akechidaira Ropeway Station is located at the end of the second Iroha slope. After a 3-minute ride on the ropeway, you will arrive at the Akechidaira Observatory at an altitude of 1,373 meters above sea level. The view from the Akechidaira Observation Deck is spectacular, offering a boxy panorama of Mount Nantai, Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls cascading down from Lake Chuzenji, and Hakuun Falls on its side. Akechidaira is said to have been named after Mitsuhide Akechi, a general in the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1603), and is a place where one can feel the romance of history. We hope you will stop by.

Fresh spring season. The impact of azaleas.

Seasonal flowers, Lake Chuzenji, and Kegon Falls are all combined in one place, and the view is like a framed picture. The aerial ropeway ride and 360-degree panoramic view are also very powerful.

Autumn is the time to be enchanted by the red hues of the leaves.
