Feel the atmosphere of Switzerland in Japan!

Lake Nootan, with its beautiful blue surface, is an artificial lake located on the border of Gunma, Nagano, and Niigata prefectures, surrounded by 2,000-meter-high mountains. Also known as "Lake in the Sky," the lake is blessed with beauty and nature that is no different from that of a natural lake.
The lake's walking trail has been selected as one of the 100 best walking trails, and from early summer to early autumn, the lake's shores are decorated with more than 300 varieties of alpine plants, including nosorikisuge, renge azalea, and Japanese white mallow. In autumn, the lake's surface reflects the fiery autumn colors of the trees and the clear blue sky. Why not enjoy the great outdoors in the clear air and admire the wonderful scenery to your heart's content?

Closed in winter from late November to late April.

The lake is a paradise in the sky with blue sky, green mountains, and colorful alpine plants on the clear surface of the lake!
