A 10-km stretch of scenic beauty along the coast

Byobugaura is a coastal cliff stretching 10 km from Choshi City in Chiba Prefecture to neighboring Asahi City.
The rough-hewn cliffs created by wave erosion are so powerful that they are said to rival the "White Cliffs" of Dover in the English Channel.
In 2016, it was designated a national scenic beauty and natural monument, and has appeared in various media, including movies, TV dramas and commercials.

Up close to the powerful cliffs!

Walking along the promenade leading from Choshi Marina Beach adjacent to Byobugaura, you can see the powerful Byobugaura up close!
