Makabe's local delicacy

Sui-don has long been a local specialty of Makabe, and its sticky texture is irresistible. Sui-don is made of wheat flour. It is mixed with water and salt, kneaded to make it sticky, and cooked with plenty of vegetables. It is seasoned with soy sauce or miso for a relaxing taste. The delicious broth from the abundant vegetables and mushrooms available in this mountainous region will soak into your body.
Makabe Town is dotted with stores where you can enjoy tasty sudon. Each store has its own special seasoning and ingredients, so you can enjoy a cup of sudon with a lot of attention to detail. It is a recommended local gourmet food for the coming cold season.
