Oyama Senmaida, recognized as one of the "100 best terraced rice fields in Japan

Oyama Senmaida is located in the mid-mountainous area of Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, almost in the center of the Boso Peninsula.
It is known as the nearest terraced rice field from Tokyo, with more than 375 terraced rice fields lined up in a stair-like pattern on an area of 3.2 ha.
In 1999, it was selected as one of the "100 best terraced rice paddies in Japan," and in 2010, Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan visited the area for an inspection.
Oyama Senmaida and the surrounding satoyama and villages are beautiful and precious landscapes.

From October 25, 2021 to January 10, 2022, the "Akari in the Terraced Rice Paddies" is held, brilliantly lit by LED lights.
