The Akai-nakabashi Bridge, a typical bridge in Hida Takayama, spans the Miya River that runs through the center of Takayama City. The "Red Naka-bashi Bridge" is always passed by at least once when strolling through the old townscape of Takayama. It is a standard stroll from Takayama Jinya (camp) to Naka-bashi Bridge, going around the morning market, meeting the locals, and eating and walking. The red Naka-bashi bridge also changes its appearance depending on the season, and no matter what season you ask, you will be met with beautiful scenery.

In spring, you can enjoy cherry blossoms right next to the red middle bridge. This cherry tree is the standard tree for declaring the blooming of cherry blossoms in Takayama.

In autumn, the contrast with the autumn leaves of the mountains is outstanding. The red Naka-bashi bridge is as beautiful as the autumn leaves, blending in with the surrounding scenery.
