Noshiro Tanabata: Nightless Castle in the Sky (Noshiro City)

The large castle lanterns, 17.6m and 24.1m high, are paraded through Noshiro City on August 3 and 4 every year.
Although the festival was cancelled last year and this year due to the Corona earthquake, the sight of the two castle lanterns parading through the city is a sight to behold.
This year, the lanterns are only on display at the Noshiro City Hall.
The brightly colored lanterns, which were lit at night in the Noshiro City Hall parking lot from July 31 to August 6, were a sight to behold in the summer night sky, attracting visitors.
You can also see the Night Lantern Festival at Noshiro Station!
A miniature of the Nightless Castle in the Sky is on display inside Noshiro Station. Even though it is a miniature, it shines beautifully when lit. Please stop by when you visit by Resort Shirakami.
