Hirota Shrine is widely revered by the public as a shrine that purifies people from all kinds of illnesses and misfortunes, both internal and external. It is said to be the only shrine in the country that is dedicated to the purification of illnesses and misfortunes. In addition to exorcism, the shrine also offers prayers for safe delivery, business prosperity, prosperity of the company, success in school, and success in victory.

The official way to visit Hirota Shrine is to visit all five shrines (Kinsei Inari Shrine, Hachidai Ryujingu/Hirotaen, Nogi Shrine, and Nijusanyo Ojin) located on the shrine grounds. It is said that by continuing to visit the five shrines for 20 days, one's wish will be fulfilled in the Great Prayer of 100 times, 200 days in the Great Prayer of 1,000 times, and 2,000 days in the Great Prayer of 10,000 times, one's heart's wish will be fulfilled in the Great Prayer of 10,000 times.

There are also omikuji (omikuji with scallops and apples), Aomori Prefecture's specialty, to help visitors learn about local specialties through their visit to the shrine. There are several different types of each, and both the way the omikuji is drawn and its contents are unique! For the apples, you have to lean over a real princess apple hanging from a tree, and for the scallops, you have to use a fishing rod to catch and draw them. And when you open it up, you will find a Tsugaru-ben Omikuji enclosed inside.

This is a historic shrine with a history of over 1000 years. But it is also a shrine with a playful spirit.
Why not visit once to get rid of bad luck? You may still find other attractions.
