Morioka cold noodles were created by Teruhito Aoki of Shokudoen, a cold noodle restaurant in Morioka City, who was born in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula and immigrated to Japan. It is said that he created Morioka cold noodles by fusing Hamhung cold noodles and Pyongyang cold noodles from the Korean Peninsula.
The soup is seasoned with beef bones, chicken, and other ingredients. Daido-en's speciality of cold noodles is the soup! Many cold noodle soups are light and refreshing, but Daido-en's soup is concentrated from Sendai beef broth, beef bones, and chicken bones, so it is thick....
