For a limited time only, the Matsushima Detached Palace in Miyagi Prefecture will be transformed into a fantastic world of light.
The tranquil water basin, modeled after Matsushima Bay, is transformed into a water mirror reflecting multicolored lights.
Enjoy Matsushima on a beautiful winter night as the lights spread and shift on the surface of the water.

Lighting hours: 16:30 to 21:00 (last admission at 20:45)

Fee: Adults 1,300 yen (junior high school students and older), children 650 yen (elementary school students), children under elementary school age free

For the first time since its opening, the symbol of Matsushima Rikyu, "Letzuru Tower," will be lit up in Christmas colors.
