Kanuma City: Deainomori Strawberry Park
Features of Deainomori Strawberry Park
Visitors can enjoy 45 minutes of all-you-can-eat strawberry picking of three varieties: Tochiaika, Tochiotome, and Skyberry.
Comments from the editorial staff of *and trip.
Deainomori Strawberry Park is a charming farm where you can pick strawberries in a special pack and enjoy them at your leisure on the terrace. Picking strawberries while standing up is surprisingly tiring, but it is nice to be able to sit down on the terrace and relax while chatting with family and friends. The farm staff said, "We hope you will spend a relaxing time here." Also, the special tool to remove stawberry stems is very convenient! It takes some skill to use it at first, but once you get used to it, it is easy to remove the stawberry stem, so you can enjoy all the strawberries you can get your hands on.
There are two main methods of strawberry cultivation: "soil cultivation," in which rows are made in the field and strawberries are cultivated, and "raised cultivation," in which planters are suspended about 1 meter high and strawberries are cultivated. At Deainomori Strawberry Park, the staff told us that strawberries are mainly grown by soil cultivation, and that they grow by absorbing nutrients from the rich soil. Condensed milk is available for an extra charge, but first try tasting the sweetness of the strawberries without any condensed milk. The 45-minute strawberry picking experience will fly by in no time.
We highly recommend this farm to those who are looking for a strawberry picking experience that can be enjoyed by all three generations, from small children to grandparents.
Strawberry Shrine is a must-see!

The cultivation method is basically raised cultivation, which allows visitors to pick strawberries without having to stoop down. On the other hand, they also have soil cultivation and are particular about organic cultivation methods. The staff will guide you to the most delicious spot of the day, so you will wait until the day of your visit to see which variety you will encounter. The shelves of the raised cultivation are designed to be about 115 cm wide, making it easy for strollers and wheelchairs to pass through.
This time, we experienced the premium 60-minute all-you-can-eat course. The strawberries we picked were sweet enough as they were, but we also had the luxury of dipping them in condensed milk or chocolate sauce to change their flavor and enjoy them to our heart's content.

At Okashinoshiro Nasu Heartland
"Ichigo no Mori", the picking method differs depending on the variety. Tochiaika is grown in soil cultivation, so visitors squat down to pick them. Soil cultivation lets you enjoy the scent of the earth and a more authentic, hands-on experience. On the other hand, Tochiotome is grown on a raised cultivation, so you can pick them while standing. You do not have to bend over and can enjoy them in a comfortable position.

Here are top 3 sweets that are particularly popular as souvenirs. The first is "Goyoutei-no-Tsuki". This is the store's most popular sweet, a fluffy sponge cake filled with thick custard. A seasonal product using the farm's strawberries (Tochiotome) is also available. The second is "Cheesecake” which is very rich and moist. The smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture is irresistible. The third is "Goyoutei-no-Hana". These cute strawberry-flavored cookies are made from the farm's strawberries. Points to enjoy strawberry picking more
Early morning is the best time to make a reservation: It is recommended to make a reservation first thing in the morning when there are lots of berries.
Wear clothes that are comfortable to move in and that you can get dirty: You may have to squat down in the soil to pick, so pants and sneakers are recommended.
Remember the trick to picking: You can pick the fruits more neatly by gently twisting the stem toward you. The key is not to use too much force.
Enjoy the flavor in the order in which you eat them: If you eat them from the stem side of strawberry, the more concentrated and sweeter they become as you move toward the end.
Check out photogenic spots: Some farms have a variety of photo spots and café sweets.
