The annual Momiji (maple) Festival will be held this year from October 25 (Sat.) to November 24 (Mon.), 2025. Visitors can enjoy a variety of maple, zelkova, and maple leaves in different colors, and the discovery of a "three-color maple" with one leaf that turns red, green, and yellow has been the talk of the town! If you walk looking up, you may be able to see the three-colored maple.

A little history of Komoro Castle, one of the 100 best castles in Japan

Komoro Castle is said to be the only "Anajiro" castle in Japan where the castle walls are located lower than the castle town. Komoro Castle is said to be the only one of its kind in Japan. After the castle was abolished with the abolition of feudal domains in 1871 (Meiji 4), Komoro Castle was bought back from the Meiji government by former Komoro feudal warriors, and in 1926 (Taisho 15), it was reborn as a modern park called Komoro Castle Site Kaiko-en.

Komoro Castle is a sightseeing spot complex that has been selected as one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan and one of the 100 best historical parks in Japan!
