Demerara Bakery's specialties

Demerara Bakery faithfully reproduces traditional English recipes and methods under the supervision of world champion baker Ryan Smedley, who lives in Conwall, England, the home of the bakery. Special attention is paid to the aromatic, crispy, and moist scone dough made with grass-fed butter and buttermilk "double butter". The combination of Rodda's clotted cream, imported directly from England, and fruit jam from Conwal makes it possible to create a real cream tea style scone. We offer these products in a special "ekinaka" location so that they can be easily enjoyed in everyday life. We value the authentic, yet relaxing and gentle taste.

How to enjoy our scones

1: To make the scones, split them down the middle with your "hand" and warm them in a toaster oven for 1 to 3 minutes to warm them slightly. (Please note that if you warm them in a microwave oven, they will become hard. If you prefer them moist, wrap them in aluminum foil and warm them up.)
2: Spread the strawberry jam on the surface of the warmed scone.
3: Place the clotted cream on top of the jam. The surface of the clotted cream is a yellow layer (called the crust). To avoid breaking that crust, do not mix or knead the cream, but scoop it from the bottom and place it on the scones. It is also delicious with honey or lemon curd.
