The theme is "Iron frying pan for a lifetime".

OIGEN's iron frying pans are the orthodox cast iron frying pans. We boast an extensive lineup of shapes and sizes. From the long-loved standard models to unique designs that expand the range of your cooking, and even premium models that boast rust-resistant "baking power" despite their lack of coating. You want to choose carefully because it is something you will use for a long time.

Once you get the hang of it, an iron frying pan will become a lifelong companion. Come to Iwate this summer to encounter cooking tools that will make your cooking more enjoyable and tastier.

Exhibition|Thorough support as only a store that "chooses" to be used for a long time can provide.

Our staff, who are also users of iron frying pans, will guide you through the differences in materials, ease of use, and the mechanism that locks in the deliciousness. The staff members will also share their "realistic recommendations," along with the frying pans they actually use, and other details of the exhibition.

Reservation required]Event|"Tips on how to enjoy iron frying pans for a lifetime". Cooking workshop series: 3 times in total

A popular local Italian chef, an Oigen Foundry craftsman with a unique background as a former chef, and a semi-professional employee who also supervises recipes will serve as lecturers, allowing participants to learn while actually cooking. The instructor will provide easy-to-understand explanations on how to use the iron frying pan and tips on how to heat the pan.

Introducing a hands-on cooking workshop

7/27 The first workshop: "Man's Meal with an Iron Fry Pan" - Making a hearty bowl of rice with an ex-chef

The instructor is an Oigen Foundry craftsman with a unique background as a former Japanese cuisine chef. He will talk about the appeal of iron frying pans and the behind-the-scenes manufacturing process from the perspective of both the maker and the user of the pans. The menu is "Tegiri-yaki-don (rice bowl) with white fish and pork belly.

8/3 2nd Iron Cooking vs. Iron - Comparison of cooking with home cooking.

We will compare the cooking of a popular everyday dish, stir-fried vegetables, between a fluoroplastic-coated frying pan and an iron frying pan, both of which are commonly used in the home. While enjoying the difference in results, OIGEN employees, who often supervise recipes, will explain how to handle iron frying pans, which are often shunned, and give tips in an easy-to-understand manner.

8/24 Vol. 3 Baking with Iron! Learn the art of grilling with an iron frying pan from a chef

Directly taught by Chef Shinya Onodera of the popular Italian restaurant "Tokiyojisetsu ONODERA" in Kitakami, Iwate Prefecture. This is a hands-on experience to learn professional cooking techniques that can be practiced at home. Learn the techniques and tricks of the trade at the excellent "sauteed chicken thighs" finished in an ironware.
This workshop is now full. Thank you very much for your reservations.
