On July 26, 2025, the Ofunato Line (between Ichinoseki Station and Surisawa Station) will celebrate its 100th anniversary! To show our gratitude, Ichinoseki Station will host the "Dragon Rail Festival" with a variety of events.
One of these events is the "JR East Train Simulator Experience".

The "JR East Train Simulator" is a simulator for professional use that is actually used by train drivers for training and distributed for home use. The simulator allows users to experience realistic images taken with actual train cars.
The sounds emitted from the train and tracks on the simulator were recorded by JR East using actual train cars, so you can experience realistic running sounds that would be comfortable even if an actual train driver were driving the train.
The instrument panel displays speedometers and other gauges just like those on actual trains, and they operate faithfully in accordance with driving operations and speeds.
The simulator is so realistic that even the actual drivers are amazed at its realism.
Not only the images but also the sounds are remarkable!
Please take a look at the past simulator experiences. Many customers of all ages and both sexes have tried the JR East Train Simulator, and it has been very well received. Even after it was their turn to try the simulator, some of them were still watching other people's driving like they were watching a car.

Drive a JR East train simulator with a train driver!

On July 26, at the "Dragon Rail Festival" event at Ichinoseki Station, you can drive a train with a train driver! You can drive a train with a driver!
For example, if you find it difficult to apply the brakes, ask the driver for tips. He will gently show you how to do it.
There are more than 20 train lines where you can experience driving! Choose your favorite line and enjoy the realistic images and driving experience.
Please come to Ichinoseki Station for your own unique driving experience.

■Sale: Available at JRE MALL in advance (sales start at 10:00 on 6/27)
■Minors must be accompanied by a guardian to the event.
