Kashiwa Festival" will be crowded again this year
Mikoshi parade
On Sunday, visitors can see a powerful parade of children's mikoshi (portable shrines), coats of arms, the portable shrines of citizens, Katori Shrine and Kashiwa Shrine, and the Mantoh portable shrines. The many carriers participate in the parade, and their vigorous shouts and the heroic appearance of the portable shrines heighten the excitement of the festival. This year, too, many citizens will participate in the parade, and it will be a lively parade to carry on the traditions of the festival. In particular, anyone who is junior high school age or older is welcome to participate as a mikoshi carrier.
