Fusion of digital and real "Pantanal Area

A short walk from the station! Is this an aquarium? Is this an aquarium or a zoo? Or...?

1 minute walk from the East Exit of JR Kawasaki Station. Kawasui Kawasaki Aquarium" is located on the 9th and 10th floors of Kawasaki Leflon. An aquarium in a building? If you are wondering why an aquarium is in a building, please come and visit. More than 300 kinds of living creatures are exhibited in a limited space with various innovations. Some of the areas may make you feel as if you are really indoors. Some of the areas are so large that you might think you are actually indoors. Kawasui is an urban entertainment aquarium based on the concept of "being a little different from an aquarium or a zoo.

Enjoy the latest digital technology!

Kawasui uses an "environmental exhibition" approach, which focuses on exhibiting living creatures in their actual habitat. 8 zones and areas are divided into floors, which are staged using the latest digital technology to create different spaces during the day and at night. In the Tama River Zone, a video showing the scenery of the Tama River as it moves from upstream to downstream is projected, and the aquarium tanks in the foreground allow visitors to see the creatures that inhabit the river.

Check out the daily events! Backyard tours are available on weekends and holidays.

Kawasui holds various events on a daily basis. The popular event where you can feed the Omaki porcupines and listen to explanations is limited, so please make reservations in advance. (Reservations are required from two weeks prior to the event until the day before.) Other free events include keeper commentary by Kawasui crew members on the ecology and characteristics of the creatures, and Agua Terrana Night (daily 18:00-20:00, last admission 19:30), where visitors observe nocturnal creatures with lanterns in their hands. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the Aquarium also offers backyard tours that allow visitors to take a peek behind the scenes. Please check the event schedule before you go. (*Times are subject to change or cancellation due to the health of the animals.)

If you get tired, take a rest at the Komorebi Cafe!

Komorebi Cafe on the 9th floor is a green-filled cafe based on the concept of a forest. We recommend the Soraneko Float topped with cat cookies and homemade hot lemonade. Kawasui original label beer and fried domestic catfish are also popular. For those who want to eat well, try the pasta or omu-rice. After you have eaten, you can resume your tour.
