Takato Joshi Park, Ina City, Nagano: About 1,500 Takato's native species, Takato kohiganzakura (cherry trees), are in full bloom.
The "Takato Joshi Park Cherry Blossom Festival" is held every year from early to mid-April, when the cherry trees are in full bloom, and includes stalls and entertainment events. There will be many events to make the cherry blossom viewing even more exciting, such as a photo spot set up only during this season and a parade of "Takato-bayashi," an intangible cultural heritage of Ina City.

In spring, cherry trees bloom everywhere within walking distance from Yahiko Station, including in front of Yahiko Station, Yahiko Park, and Yahiko Shrine Cherry Blossom Garden, and the flowering period is long, from Somei Yoshino in April to Yaezakura in early May.

Toriyano Lagoon
The Meike area, where the Niigata Prefectural Library and the Nature Science Museum are located, and the Kanegi area, where the Niigata City Industrial Promotion Center is located, are ideal for cherry blossom viewing, as many Someiyoshino cherry trees are planted there. Approximately 2,000 cherry trees will be in full bloom around the Toryano Lagoon, and bonbori (paper lanterns) will be lit on the cherry trees around Benten Bridge.
