Have you ever heard of "chilled ramen"?
What? I don't mean chilled ramen. Chilled ramen is a local dish of Yamagata and Fukushima prefectures, and in Fukushima Prefecture, it originated in Aizu Sakashita-cho. It looks like ordinary ramen, but it is ramen with cold soup and is eaten all year round, not just in summer.
Hey, do you still think it is the same as chilled ramen? The soup of chilled ramen is usually soy sauce or salt, and it is light and refreshing. It does not have the sourness of chilled ramen. In some restaurants, ice is floated on top. If you still think it is the same as chilled chuka, please try it and you will understand why it has been loved by locals for more than 60 years and how different it is from chilled chuka.
Don't let anyone tell you that it is the same as chilled chuka!
