In autumn, beech trees and maple trees on the Sugawa Plateau turn bright red and yellow, creating a wonderful contrast with the green of the evergreen trees. Lake Sugawa, located at an elevation of 1030 meters above sea level, is a beautiful lake that glows a lapis lazuli blue on clear days, but it is highly acidic and fish cannot inhabit it. The clarity of the water is high, and the reflection of the autumn leaves on the calm surface of the water is spectacular. It is also nice to view the scenery from a chartered boat! The postcard-like scenery will soothe your mind and body.
