Director Eiji Tsuburaya, the creator of Ultraman and the god of special effects, is from Sukagawa City.
Sukagawa City has a sister city relationship with "M78 Nebula: Land of Light," the hometown of Ultraman, and there are many places where you can meet Ultra heroes and monsters, including Sukagawa Station, the city center, City Hall, the post office, and Fukushima Airport.
In addition, the mayor of the virtual city "M78 Hikari no Machi, Sugagawa City" is Captain Ultra's father of the Space Guard. You can even become a resident of the virtual city!
The torchlight street in the center of the city is lined with 13 monuments of Ultra heroes and monsters, and various silhouettes are painted on the street lights to add to the fun!
