Sweets Tour in Ito! Four rewarding sweets!

Ito, Shizuoka Prefecture, has been creating new sweets to liven up the food tourism, and from December 21, 2024 (Saturday), sweets with the motif of "Omuroyama," the symbol of Ito, will be available for purchase. The products are designed to look and taste great, and can be enjoyed easily while walking around town. Here are four of Ito's rewarding confections.

1) Fruit Parlor Izu Shunjitsu-do "Omuro Green Parfait

Matcha and strawberry parfait topped with matcha pudding shaped like Mount Omuro, the symbol of Ito. The matcha pudding is made with plenty of matcha from Shizuoka Prefecture, giving it a chunky texture! Strawberries, green tea, milk, and cookies make this parfait a gorgeous sight and a delightful texture.

2) "Fluffy Omuro Mont Blanc" by Arpège Confectionery Studio

At the confectionery atelier Arpege, each item is handmade with care, valuing the deliciousness of the ingredients. The soft sponge and ice cream are layered to resemble Mt. Omuro, accented with a crunchy texture, and finished with our special Mont Blanc cream.

3) Leman Forest "Omuroyama Puff Ice Cream

The cream is colored with matcha green tea in red haruka (sweet potato) to resemble the fresh greenery of Omuroyama. It is squeezed into a mountain of puffed ice cream that is hidden in a cup. The chocolate topping, which looks like a scoria, goes perfectly with the matcha. Scoria is a pumice-like rock formed by volcanic eruptions, and Omuroyama is a cone-shaped mountain formed by piled up scoria.
