Minase beef, raised in the Minase district of Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, is a rare black Wagyu beef that can only be raised by local dairy farmers. Since 99% of the beef is consumed in Akita Prefecture, it is a brand-name beef known only to those in the know. The beef is not cloying and has just the right amount of fat to bring out the flavor of the meat. The moment you bite into it, it begins to melt in your mouth...a moment of bliss! Please try it with Akita's delicious sake.
