When we think of yaki-imo, many of us think of a sweet potato with a hint of sweetness.
This time, we would like to introduce Yaki-imo Direct Sales Yakiimo Star, a store where you can enjoy everything from the standard yaki-imo to sweets!
After all, the classic is the yaki-imo!

The store's most popular "Beniharuka" has a strong sweetness and a refreshing aftertaste. It is harvested from October to early November, and the sweetness is enhanced by letting it sit for two to three weeks after harvesting, with the best time to eat it being from November to January.
Next in popularity is the Silk Sweet, which is moist and has an elegant sweetness. It is harvested from late September to October, and is best enjoyed from November to February.
Which one did you like better? Red Haruka harvested in the dune fields in Niigata City's Nishi Ward is called "Imo Jenne" and Silk Sweet harvested in the dune fields in Niigata City's Kita Ward is produced under the brand name "Shirukimo", both are rich and sweet sweet sweet potatoes. Check them out at the store!

Honey Potato Brulee

The taste is a perfect combination of moist baked sweet potato, creamy homemade custard, and bittersweet caramel! They also sold other miniature brûlées in trial sizes.

Yaki-imo Cheesecake

It consists of two layers of cinnamon-flavored cheesecake and baked sweet potato paste, and the tart dough gives it an "adult" flavor that is not too sweet. The store also offers "Yakimo Tart," recommended by the owner, and "Yakimo Chiffon Cake" with baked sweet potato paste kneaded into it. Other breads such as "Yakiimo Curry Bread" and "Yakiimo An Doughnut" are also available only on Saturdays and Sundays. They arrive on Saturdays, but are only available in limited quantities, so be sure to buy them early!
Yakimo Cheesecake 550 yen per piece (tax included)
Summary
All of the products introduced here can be purchased at Yakiimo Direct Yakiimo Star.
The store is located in a residential area, but I was able to easily find it because there are signs in front of the store advertising yaki-imo and yaki-imo sweets. They also sell handmade dried sweet potatoes and yaki-imo for dogs, so why not buy some as a souvenir?
Near the store, there is "Nishikaigan Park" overlooking the Sea of Japan and "Niigata City History Museum Minatopia" where you can learn about Niigata's history and culture, including the "Old Niigata Customs House," so we recommend that you visit...please stop by when you travel to Niigata!
