From Edo to the present day! Experience a time slip back 400 years!
During the Edo period (1603-1867), Shinagawa-juku flourished as an inn on the Tokaido Highway and an easily accessible sightseeing spot for the common people of Edo. It was called the "Yoshiwara of the north and the Shinagawa of the south," with a wide variety of beautiful girls and women, and there were many rental rooms lined up where you could have fun with these ladies. This is one of the largest events in Shinagawa Ward, held at Shinagawa-juku, the first post town counted from Nihonbashi on the 53 Stages of the Tokaido, a 2-km road that has remained since the Edo Period.
This year, the "Oiran Road Trip," a specialty of the Shinagawa Shukuba Matsuri that was not held last year, will be revived on Saturday, September 28! Please take a look at the gorgeous and gorgeous Oiran at a glance!

Experience the Edo period through the Edo Folk Parade!
At Shinagawa-dera Temple, the final stop of the parade, a fire-walking Aragyo will be performed. Please be sure to watch as the participants cross the street barefooted through the blazing fire!
