The Naeba Dora Gondola and Tashiro Ropeway introduced here are usually at their best from mid to late October every year when the autumn leaves are at their best. There are many ways to view the autumn foliage, such as from the foot of the mountains or between the mountains, but this year we hope you will enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage from the air!

Autumn foliage sightseeing will be open in 2025!

Tashiro ropeway, Panorama lift and Rakuraku lift will close on Monday, November 3 (national holiday).

We recommend taking the Naeba Dragondola and the Tashiro Ropeway one way each to enjoy the spectacular view from different angles! For example, take the Naeba Dragondola to the summit station and stroll to Tashiro Kogen. You can take the Rakuraku Lift and Tashiro Ropeway, and return to Naeba Kogen by a connecting bus from Tashiro Ropeway Sanroku Station. Please circle around and enjoy each spectacular view!

Take a walk in the air on the Naeba Dora Gondola!

The longest gondola in Japan connects "Naeba Kogen" and "Tashiro Kogen" in Yuzawa-cho, Minamiuonuma-gun, Niigata Prefecture. It takes about 25 minutes one way to travel the 5481m long gondola. The power of the gondola is truly breathtaking as it travels at an elevation of 425 meters! And best of all, you can enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves from a 360-degree angle.

The Dragondola cabins seat eight passengers back-to-back, so you can sit comfortably and enjoy the view. Depending on the direction you sit, you can enjoy different views!
The golden silver grass is also a perfect match!
The Dragondola 14 pillar area offers magnificent views from a steep, roller-coaster-like incline. You can also see the Kiyotsu River, which leads to Kiyotsukyo Gorge, one of the three largest gorges in Japan!

Japan's highest ropeway! Tashiro Ropeway

Tashiro ropeway, the highest ropeway in Japan in terms of instantaneous height above the ground
takes about 10 minutes each way up the 2,175-meter-long ride. The highlight of the Tashiro ropeway is the spectacular view from the highest point in Japan at 230 meters above the ground! There are two see-through floors in the ropeway, allowing visitors to feel the height of 230 meters above the ground right below them.
