Awara Onsen Bisho

Awara Onsen Bisho is about 4.6 kilometers from Awara Onsen Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line. It is about 1.3 kilometers from Awara Yunomachi Station on the Echizen Railway. It takes about 5 minutes from Awara-Yunomachi Station to the [Awara Onsen Bisho] by courtesy bus.

The 200 tsubo Japanese garden located in the center of the ryokan is wonderful and can be strolled. The garden is also illuminated with mist for the first time in Hokuriku.

Guest Rooms

Awara Onsen Bisho has 36 guest rooms, the largest class in Hokuriku, each with an open-air hot spring bath. I stayed on the 4th floor, the "Yuyu-no-Floor," in a guest room with an open-air cypress bath overlooking a corridor garden and the Awara rice paddies. The open-air bath was great, but the amenities were also fully equipped with L'OCCITANE, a favorite of many women, and Trévian!

The taste of Fukui, with a focus on local production for local consumption

The dinner was so beautifully presented and so delicious that it could not fit on the table and could not be captured in a photograph. The drinks inclusive included several draft beers, sake, and soft drinks. This is a great plan for those who are not worried about their wallets! Souvenir recommendation (1): Japanese sake "Onamasa

The recommended souvenir of Awara Onsen is the sake "Onnajo" from the Awara Onsen Proprietresses' Association. The sake is made by Awara Onsen proprietresses, all of whom are certified sake connoisseurs, and comes in sweet and dry flavors.

Souvenir recommendation 2: Sake lees beauty pack

Second, the sake lees beauty pack in the large bathroom is GOOD! You will notice the difference the next morning. It is sold at the "Fukunin Ki" antenna store in the museum.

How was it? Awara Onsen Bisho is a very convenient base for sightseeing. It is only about 290 meters away from the Mikuni Boat Station exit of the Keifuku Bus, or about a 4-minute walk. It is also convenient for access to Tojinbo, a sightseeing spot famous for its powerful precipitous cliffs.
