Autumn is the season of pleasant breezes. Autumn is also known as the season for reading, eating, and the arts, but it is also the perfect time to go out as the weather improves. Funabashi Andersen Park, where cosmos, a typical autumnal flower, is in full bloom, is a recommended spot for the coming season. The park is filled with 100,000 colorful cosmos plants of about 20 varieties in white, pink, reddish purple, yellow, and other colors, attracting many visitors every year. The exotic scenery created by the park's symbolic windmill and cosmos flower fields is truly photogenic! You will want to take as many photos as possible to create wonderful memories. The cosmos festival will be held from October 1 (Tue.) to October 31 (Thu.), 2024, and the park will be decorated for Halloween. 600 m2 of approximately 20,000 cosmos plants will also appear.
In addition to cosmos, there are many other flowers that add color to autumn in the park. Why not take a leisurely stroll through the vast grounds and enjoy autumn to the fullest, taking pictures or drawing pictures? If you get hungry after strolling in the park, you can enjoy a barbecue at the restaurant while gazing at the pond. It is also nice to bring a packed lunch and leisure sheets for a picnic.

Athletic activities are very popular with families!

In the coming season when it is easier to spend time outside, it is recommended to exercise in the park. In the "One-Paku Kingdom Zone," which is crowded with many families, "Mori no Athletic," one of the largest field athletic facilities in Japan, is very popular. There are four courses to choose from according to your physical fitness level, so both children and adults can have fun. Climbing up log walls, going through rope tunnels, and other challenging activities are all available for visitors to enjoy with family and friends. (Children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)

Experience "making things" at the Children's Museum!

Funabashi Andersen Park is also a place where visitors can enjoy the fall season of art. At the Children's Museum of Art in the park, artworks by artists and items from the museum collection are displayed throughout the park, so visitors can encounter art just by walking around the museum. The Atelier offers a variety of programs throughout the year that allow visitors to experience making things, and some programs can be completed in about one hour, so visitors can easily try their hand at creating their own original artwork.
Please check the website for program details.
