Hotel Metropolitan Akita North Wing has opened!

Hotel Metropolitan Akita, located next to JR Akita Station, opened its annex, North Wing, on May 31, 2021, making it one of the largest city hotels in Akita Prefecture.
On the second floor of the North Wing is the first fitness gym in Tohoku, "JEXER LIGHT GYM," and more and more people are working up a sweat regardless of the time of day.
The corridor connecting the main building and the North Wing welcomes you with soft light.
The lobby on the first floor of the main building has benches made of Akita cedar for guests to relax.
In the newly opened North Wing, traditional Akita crafts are scattered throughout the hotel, allowing guests to experience the traditions of various parts of Akita Prefecture even while in Akita City.
The entrance on the first floor of the North Wing is decorated with a piece of kumiko work inspired by the Akita Pole Lantern Festival.
The elevator hall on the guest room floor is decorated with "kumiko-zaiku" work in the motif of the Omagari Fireworks Festival.
