Souffle Pancake Rocco, located about a 15-minute walk from the East Exit of Akita Station, opened in June 2021. The owner, Mr. Kamata, a native of Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture, is a former Japan Ground Self-Defense Force veteran. While serving in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Mr. Kamata began to think, "I want to see more smiling faces," and his hobby of visiting cafes led him to the world of food and beverage, "I want to own my own restaurant.
