The 76th Kamakura Fireworks Festival will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, the first time it has been held in five years since 2019. The fireworks display in Kamakura, created by "MARGO," which was awarded the title of Japan's best pyrotechnician, will deliver a special and tasteful presentation that will not spoil the atmosphere and dignity of the ancient capital of Kamakura.
Please enjoy the dynamic Shakudama fireworks, the Starmine fireworks, and the famous underwater fireworks that fan out on the surface of the sea!

The Kamakura Fireworks Festival started in 1948 and has been loved and enjoyed by many people as a traditional summer event in Kamakura for many years, not only by the locals but also by many people today. Although there are not as many flashy displays or as many fireworks as other festivals, many people have a "special feeling" toward the Kamakura Fireworks Festival. This may be due to the unique environment of Kamakura, surrounded by temples, shrines, nature, and the richness of the sea.

The famous underwater fireworks are thrown into the sea one after another from a boat floating on the sea, and a variety of fireworks such as big shakudama fireworks, starmine, and supporters' fireworks project that reads out messages, etc., will be shot up to 2,500 fireworks in the sky of Kamakura.
