What is the "underwater fireworks" synonymous with the Kamakura Fireworks Festival?

The famous "Water Fireworks" of the Kamakura Fireworks Festival
Do you know the famous "fireworks over water" of the Kamakura Fireworks Festival? Fireworks are thrown into the sea from a barge moving at high speed on the sea, and they open in a fan shape on the water, which is a beautiful and elegant fireworks display. Underwater fireworks are the result of the divine work of pyrotechnicians who have to calculate the waves and currents. The underwater fireworks have been loved for many years, and the tradition is still being carried on with new techniques.

The Kamakura Fireworks Festival started in 1948 and has been loved and enjoyed by many people as a traditional summer event in Kamakura for many years, not only by the locals but also by many people today. Although there are not as many flashy displays or as many fireworks as other festivals, many people have a "special feeling" toward the Kamakura Fireworks Festival. This may be due to the unique environment of Kamakura, surrounded by temples, shrines, nature, and the richness of the sea.
