Daiginjo soft serve ice cream / Asakai

The addictive taste is highly praised by all JR East Travel Service Center Morioka staff.
The Nanbu Touji is one of the three major Touji (Toji) breweries in Iwate, and is the pride of Iwate.
Asakai" is one of the local sake breweries that is well-loved by the locals, and the "Daiginjo soft serve ice cream" is a unique treat that can only be found at a sake brewery!
As the name suggests, the ice cream is kneaded with Daiginjo sake lees, and its mellow aroma spreads from the moment you pick it up.
Even though it is called "sake flavor," it does not contain alcohol, so even those who are not fond of sake and children can enjoy its slightly fruity aroma.
And when you try it, you will be amazed at how smooth it is! The milkiness of the soft serve is refreshing, yet somewhat soft on the tongue, just like whipped cream.
The delicate aroma of sake mixed with the soft ice cream makes it an addictive taste that keeps you going from one mouthful to the next!
Daiginjo soft serve ice cream is a very popular treat that can only be enjoyed at the Asakai Jishu Bussan Kan, which is directly operated by the sake brewery!

The Asakai Jishu Bussan also offers tastings. The Asakai Jishu Brewery also offers sake brewery tours (*reservations required), so if you are interested, please check the website♪.

Egoma soy sauce soft serve ice cream / Asanuma Soy Sauce Shop (Kurabiyori)

Drizzle the recommended syrup on it♪ Terrace seating is also available♪
Asanuma Soy Sauce Shop was established in 1914 in Morioka City. Egoma Soy Sauce, a rare product by a long-established soy sauce store, is the first seasoning developed and born in Japan based on more than 100 years of brewing technology and a desire to "make soy sauce that can be safely eaten by people with soybean and wheat allergies. It is made by carefully fermenting and maturing egoma nuts grown in Iwate Prefecture without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

Egoma soy sauce soft serve ice cream" is the No. 1 popular item at the directly-managed store "Kurabiyori. What is soft-serve ice cream with egoma soy sauce? When I took a bite, imagining the taste of "Mitarashi" (sweetened soy sauce), I was surprised to find that it was full of mysterious "dashi (Japanese soup stock)" that filled my mouth. A mysterious "dashi (soup stock)" feeling spread across my mouth! It is a slightly salty, rich soft serve ice cream with a dashi (soup stock) taste. The corn flakes underneath the cream add a nice crunchy accent, and we recommend eating it with the topping "marron malt syrup" that is also available.

Around "Kurabiyori" are the "Iwate Bank Red Brick Museum" and the "Morioka Castle Ruins Park," and you can also visit the "Morioka Castle Ruins Park" and the "Morioka Castle Ruins Park. It is also a good place to take a break while enjoying "Morioka, a city to be enjoyed on foot". Please come and taste the deliciousness that can only be found here!

Wagurumi soft serve ice cream / Riasupark

Recommended menu "Uki Uki Dango" (dumplings)
Wagurumi soft serve ice cream is available in the café space in the "Risupark," a store that supports reconstruction efforts.

The cream is made with 100% Wagurumi from Iwate Prefecture and luxurious milk from Yamaji Dairy Farm in Tanohata Village. The cream is slightly walnut-colored, and the soft and chewy texture of the three-colored dumplings is lovely! It enhances the overall flavor of the dumplings.
The dumpling has a rich aroma unique to Wagurumi and the original richness of milk, but with a refreshing aftertaste.

Shelling walnuts, especially wagurumi (onigurumi), is quite a difficult task, but as part of the reconstruction assistance for the Great East Japan Earthquake, the people in Sanriku are carefully working on it.
In addition, the accompanying ukiwaki dango are handmade in the restaurant with care, using glutinous rice from Noda Village, which is used in the farmer's restaurant "Kamado Tsukiya" in Noda Village on the Sanriku coast, and made using a stone mortar and pestle. The green color is made from mugwort and the purple color from undiluted mountain grape juice. The name "ukiuki dango" comes from the fact that the dumplings float when they are boiled, and the name was given to the dumplings to make one's mood more upbeat.

The recommended way to eat them is to add a little shoyu or salt to the dumplings to give them a sweet and sour flavor.
This may seem surprising, but it makes them even more delicious. The restaurant carries shoyu and salt produced in Iwate Prefecture. Please try them and enjoy the twice-delicious taste!
