There are many famous fireworks displays in Japan, but "Kachimai Fireworks Festival" is one of the most popular among them. Many visitors come from all over Japan every year to watch the Kachimai Fireworks Festival, which will be held for the 72nd time this year. What kind of fireworks will be shown this year? Katsumai Fireworks Festival is famous for "Nishikikan".

The "Katsumai Fireworks Festival" is a historic fireworks display sponsored by the Tokachi Mainichi Shimbun, which publishes the Tokachi Mainichi Shimbun, a local newspaper with more than 100 years of publication history.
In 1929, the first time the event was held, about 50,000 people visited the event, which was said to be about twice the population of Obihiro City at that time. It was a lively fireworks display from the very first time.
The Katsumai Fireworks Festival is also famous for its long, trailing "Nishiki Kamuro" (Nishiki Crown). At the Katsumai Fireworks Festival, you can see the "Nishikikamuro" in full force, which is so large that it cannot be seen from the ground.
