What is Shibata Iris Festival?
The irises (hanashobu) begin to bloom in mid-May, the towaka (kakitsubata) in late May, and the irises (hanashobu) in early June.
Since irises cover most of the park, the Shibata Iris Festival is held during the most spectacular time of the year.
